Stephen W. DesChamps
joined the Sumter office of Coldwell Banker Commercial
Cornerstone in November of 2002 and became a partner in
March of 2005. He is a member of the ICSC and is a CCIM
candidate.
Stephen has a broad range of experience in real estate
beginning at Ravenel Development Corporation in
Charleston, S.C. There he worked with site selection,
acquisition, leasing and project management for this
developer of grocery anchored shopping centers across
the Carolinas and Georgia. Following this, he joined
Senter and Associates in Sumter, SC where he was
actively involved in sales brokerage, property
management, leasing, investment management and
development. There he organized and served as managing
partner for several real estate investment companies.
Prior to beginning his career in real estate, Mr.
DesChamps spent seven years working in the field of
manufacturing, first as manufacturing manager at
Precision Fabrics Group in Greensboro, NC and then plant
superintendent for Kaydon Corporation in Sumter, SC.
These opportunities yielded valuable experience in
developing the organization, management and business
skills necessary to be successful in the commercial real
estate arena.
Mr. DesChamps attended Clemson University where he earned
a BS degree in Agricultural Economics and followed that
with a Master of Business Administration degree.
A native of neighboring Lee County, South Carolina, Mr.
DesChamps presently lives in Sumter. He is married to
the former Meri Jones of Sumter and has a daughter,
Madison, and son, Jones. He is a member of Christ
Community Church in Sumter. |
